Accreditation

JB Foods is committed towards providing only the highest quality product whilst strictly regulating with food safety compliances. To ensure that we have an equal approach into all aspects of our work, we have been accredited by the Food Standards Agency (FSA); British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS) and Red Tractor Approval (RTA).

We believe that food safety works better when "nobody is watching" and by providing our staff with all the resources available, regular internal quality inspections only support our view that we only give you the best product.

Food Standards Agency (FSA)

This agency is derived from Central Government and is responsible for ensuring that all food produce is processed and despatched in accordance to the Government legislation via an independent HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Plan constructed by the operator. Our Licence Number (2031) reflects the hard work we have invested into the business from the first day, every day.

Our factory ethos is based on cleanliness and hygiene whilst maintaining all records that support our day to day operations. Every member of staff is trained to handle poultry and meat in accordance to our HACCP Plan in order to sustain optimum food safety at all times. We have elected members of the management team to monitor individual performances so you can be comforted that the produce is handled in the most strict and humane manner.

British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS)

BRCGS is a leading safety and quality certification program, used the world over. Currently, this accreditation has been granted to over 20,000 suppliers globally. This accreditation is primarily a duty of care to ensures that certain standards are consistent throughout the manufacturing chain from operational to supply at all times. These standards are often the preferred prerequisite from retailers and blue-chip companies throughout the world and uniformed in terms of practices.

Red Tractor Approval (RTA)

Red Tractor is a food assurance scheme that has been used from farmers to abattoirs through to cutting plants like ours. This scheme is the most accepted by leading food retailers and indicates a certain standard that again is evident in a manufacturer. By purchasing a product with such logos, it has met the stringent tests from responsible production through to transparency on traceability.
